Project Heather

Project Heather is focused on the launch of the Scottish Stock Exchange (SSE), which will mark the first time Scotland will have its own stock exchange since 1973.

The aim of the SSE will be to create a “globally-facing and impact focused” trading venue in which “issuers will all have to report on their environmental and social impact.” The goal of Project Heather is to finance social innovation and social enterprises that has transformational impact potential for achieving shared goals across health, the environment, prosperity and education.

Biophilia – CrowdDoing Initiative

Biophelia is the visual & sensory experience of plants and proximity to plants. Studies have shown that proximity to plants reduces air pollution and stress, improving physical and mental health.

CrowdDoing’s Biophelia team has simulated health and economic gains from increased plant density through vertical gardens in hospitals and libraries. These can be extended and deepened through further outcome simulation, contextual modeling and visual illustration carried out by a diverse range of volunteers, potentially including city planners, biologists, and hospital/medical system experts.h
